Privacy Policy

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their “Personally Identifiable Information” (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in U.S. privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

What personal information do we collect?

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or other details to help you with your experience.

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, fill out a form, or enter information on our site.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect when you register, make a purchase, sign up for a newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse the website, or use certain other site features to:

  • Administer a contest, promotion, survey, or other site feature.
  • Send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.
  • Follow up after correspondence, including live chat, email, or phone inquiries.

How do we protect your information?

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of people who have special access rights to those systems and are required to keep the information confidential. Sensitive and credit information you supply is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We implement security measures when users enter, submit, or access information. Transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Cookies and Browser Preferences

Yes, we use cookies. Cookies are small files that a website or service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser, if allowed. They enable systems to recognize your browser and capture or remember certain information.

We use cookies to help remember and process items in the shopping cart, understand preferences based on previous or current site activity, and compile aggregate data about site traffic and interaction so we can offer improved site experiences and tools.

We use cookies to:

  • Understand and save users’ preferences for future visits.
  • Compile aggregate information about site traffic and interactions. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf.

You can configure your browser to warn you each time a cookie is sent or to turn off cookies. Because browsers differ, review your browser’s Help menu for the correct way to modify cookie settings.

If users disable cookies:

Some features may be disabled, and some features that make the site experience more efficient may not function properly.

Third-Party Disclosure and Links

Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personally Identifiable Information to outside parties unless we provide users with advance notice. This does not include website-hosting partners and other parties that assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving users, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We may release information when release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Third-Party Links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. Those third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome feedback about those sites.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA was the first state law in the United States to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. Its reach extends beyond California to operators of websites that collect Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers.

According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our site anonymously.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy” and can be found on the applicable page.
  • Users will be notified of Privacy Policy changes on the Privacy Policy page.
  • Users can change personal information by logging in to their account.

Does our site allow third-party behavioral tracking?

It is important to note that we do not allow third-party behavioral tracking.

COPPA — Children’s Online Privacy

When it comes to collecting personal information from children under 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the United States’ consumer-protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which explains what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under 13 years old.

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States, and their concepts have played a significant role in the development of data-protection laws around the world. Understanding and implementing these principles is important for compliance with laws that protect personal information.

If a data breach occurs:

In order to align with Fair Information Practices, we will notify users by email within seven business days.

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have the right to pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors that fail to follow the law. This principle requires that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

CAN-SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act sets rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to stop emails from being sent to them, and provides penalties for violations.

We collect your email address to:

  • Send information and respond to inquiries, requests, or questions.
  • Market to our mailing list or continue sending emails to clients after the original transaction.

To comply with CAN-SPAM, we agree to:

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
  • Identify messages as advertisements in a reasonable way.
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
  • Monitor third-party email-marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
  • Honor opt-out and unsubscribe requests quickly.
  • Allow users to unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of each email.

To unsubscribe from future emails, follow the instructions at the bottom of an email. We will promptly remove you from applicable correspondence.
